1- Departure: Ålesund Pier
The Art nouveau town of Ålesund is a perfect starting point for excursions in the beautiful surroundings. It is the largest city in the province of Møre og Romsdal and it has a unique setting across several islands streching out into the Atlantic Ocean. Destroyed in 1904 by a devastating fire it is now noted for its concentration of Art Nouveau style.
2- Kokarsteinen
After passing Sjoholt, our first photo stop is at Kokarsteinen along the Storfjord.
3- Gudbrandsjuvet
We continue the tour via Stordal and further via Valldal, famous for its tasty strawberries, until we reach the spectacular Gudbrandsjuvet where we make another photo stop.
4- Trollstigen Plateau
After the ascent up to the Trollstigen Plateau, we take a longer stop to enjoy the breathtaking views. Food and drinks can be bought in the shop/cafeteria.
5- Stigefossen Waterfall
On the descent down from the Trollstigen Plateau, we make a photo stop close the the impressive waterfall of Stigefossen.
6- Troll Wall
The spectacular Troll Wall mounts above us. A beloved spot for mountain climbers and base jumpers.

Tour totally depends upon good weather. When we took it, it was cloudy, so the views were limited and... due to snow in the mountains we did not go to Trollstigen. Then it is no more than a full day bus back and forth. It's a shame and too much money for what you get... Luckily, the next day we took a tour in Geiranger to Dalsnibba and that somehow compensated for what we missed here.

Small grouip with only four total travelers. Christian was a great tour guide and stopped at a number of scenic locations and explained a number of things. He brought sandwiches, drinks and cookies for us to have a picnic lunch. When we were walking on the tundra, he pointed out wild blueberries that he picked and gave them to us to eat.
