1- Departure: Ålesund Pier
The Art nouveau town of Ålesund is a perfect starting point for excursions in the beautiful surroundings. It is the largest city in the province of Møre og Romsdal and it has a unique setting across several islands streching out into the Atlantic Ocean. Destroyed in 1904 by a devastating fire it is now noted for its concentration of Art Nouveau style.
2- City Sightseeing
The journey takes you through the charming town centre and along the picturesque Brosundet, where colorful Art Nouveau buildings line the waterfront and reflect in the calm waters.
3- Hessa Viewpoint
Enjoy a scenic photo stop at the beautiful Hessa Viewpoint, located just outside the city centre of Ålesund.
4- Aksla Viewpoint
From the top of the city mountain Aksla there is a panoramic view of the beautiful city center, the archipelago and the Sunmøre Alps. From Aksla you can walk 418 steps down to the city park.
5- Arrival: Ålesund Pier
