The Best of Geiranger from Hellesylt
On the full day excursion The Best of Geiranger you will experience a fantastic bus tour through a landscape of majestic mountains, gorgeous waterfalls and beautiful lakes. One of our experienced guides will give you all the information about Geiranger and the UNESCO World Heritage area. On our way to Geiranger, we will pass the beautiful lake of Oppstryn and take a short break at Jostedalsbreen Nasjonalparksenter, where you can learn more about glaciers. On our way to Geiranger we will also make a short photo stop at the Øvstefossen Waterfall. You’ll reach four highlights: Flydalsjuvet (one of Norway’s most photographed viewpoints); the spectacular Djupvatn lake, the top of the famous mountain Dalsnibba at the altitude of 1500 m above sea level, and the spectacular Eagle Bend with great views of the Geiranger village, the Geirangerfjord and the Seven Sisters Waterfall. The tour includes the drive up the serpentine Eagle Road with great photo opportunities of the Geirangerfjord. Finally, we will start the return back to Hellesylt where your cruise ship will be waiting.

- Djupvatn Lake - photo stop. Spectacular mountain lake. It lies at the altitude of 1030 meters above sea level and is at least 188 meters deep. The lake is normally covered with ice, depending on the temperature and on the season, the ice usually melts around mid of June/July.
- Flydal Gorge Viewpoint - photo stop. Majestic views overlooking the Geirangerfjord. One of Norway’s most photographed touristic icons. When visiting Geiranger, this is the definitive must-see!
- Eagle Bend with views to Seven Sisters Waterfalls - photo stop. The 11 hairpin bend serpentine road ascends all the way up to the Eagle Bend offering great views of the fjord and photo opportunities of the Seven Sisters Waterfalls.
